Sensei Aubrey Millard
Executive Council Member & IFMAO Director.

Aubrey was inducted into the WHFSC International Martial Arts Hall of Fame for Outstanding Contribution to the Martial Arts in 2000. Mr. Millard is a Third Degree Black Belt and a direct student of Soke Daniel Verkerke at the Jietai Ryu school of Seicho Jutsu.

Mr. Millard started his training in the Martial arts at the age of 10 learning Karate. As a teenager going to school in a heavily Chinese populated area in Toronto Mr. Millard was introduced to Kung Fu by David Lee.
Aubrey attended seminars and competitions in the USA and Canada gaining a wide variety of knowledge of different styles. Mr. Millard continued his training in different styles of Kung Fu until he joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1982. From 82 to 86 while in the military Mr. Millard continued his training in Kung Fu and Karate with several schools in Canada and Germany. Once out of the Military, Mr. Millard continued training in Karate and started learning Kendo. In 1989 Mr. Millard took a break from physical training, He felt that there was more to the Martial Arts than forms and sparring. He looked for a while for a teacher that could take him to the next level. Unable to find such a teacher, dejected Mr. Millard gave up training in schools for several years. Through the 1990's Aubrey was on a spiritual quest concentrating on philosophy and knowledge. This path eventually led him to the city of Kitchener where he resides today. In 1999 Mr. Millard met Grand Master Daniel Verkerke and found in him the teacher he was looking for.

Currently Mr. Millard is the Head instructor and owner of the Jiko Ryu Seicho Jutsu Dojo.
